Free and independent, we have a long history of working to create authentic, quality wines that respect the ecosystems and meet the the pleasures of wine lovers.
For us, wine is not a product of speculation. "What makes the value of a wine is not its price, it is the pleasure and the emotion it provides" Vincent FABRE. We are winegrowers and create all our cuvées with a concern for quality, at the right price to respect all wine lovers.
Since 1964, we have been cultivating, vinifying, maturing and offering our wines directly, in a short circuit (excluding trade). The traceability of our wines, the control of our prices and the selection of a network of selected partners and distributors are the three pillars of our commitment to our customers.
We respect and preserve our historic vineyard to pass it on to our children. HVE3 (High Environmental Value), respect and conservation of bees, plots in Agro Nature itinerary, partnership with the Conservatoire des breeds d'Aquitaine - flock of Landes sheep on our estate)...
A range of quality wines for all tastes, including those of our family because wine should be shared by all and on all occasions. We cherish this freedom to create what we like, sometimes outside the stereotypes, and the pleasure of sharing live with amateurs.
Our desire to innovate led us to create atypical wines, breaking the codes of classic Bordeaux vintages. We started with our range of single-varietals. The idea came to vinify light and supple wines, off the beaten track. The Fabre on the Rocks 100% Malbec, the Wild Fabre without added sulfites 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and the Clan Fabre 100% Merlot were then born, with their colorful and offbeat visuals.
During the 2024 harvest, we also innovated by offering our first white wine made from resistant hybrid grape varieties. Another challenge for our entire team accustomed to our beautiful red grapes! It will be available from the end of 2024 and you will have "carte blanche" to taste it.
Our latest innovation is VAIL, a half-wine, half-cocktail drink made from fermented grape juice, passion fruit flavors and slightly alcoholic. Eco-responsible with 100% compostable packaging thanks to its bottle made from sugar cane and its grass label, it can be enjoyed chilled with a sparkling wine or plain. In the 19th century, the property of Lamothe belonged to Monsieur d'Elbauve, also the owner of the very beautiful and very old abbey of Vertheuil. When Gabriel Fabre, back from Morocco, bought the Domaine in 1964, wine production had ceased. The 33 hectares of vines that today make up the Château Lamothe vineyard were planted from April 1967 on a clay-limestone hillock and a "mound" of gravel.
