Created in 1988, the Vieilles Vignes vintage of Château LAMOTHE-CISSAC is only made in vintages where the generous nature allows us to extract the power and concentration of our terroirs. This cuvée is vinified like a Grand Cru, perfect for the aesthetes. With low yields and a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, the Vieilles Vignes will appeal to the great palates of wine lovers. This wine is best appreciated after several years of cellaring. Its peak is reached between 20 and 30 years.
Its main characteristics are a deep purple colour and a great aromatic complexity with a beautiful balance between the richness of the fruit and the new wood. These aromas of cloves, spices and light tobacco make it a great wine for ageing, generous and powerful, with great elegance. This wine is a perfect match for red meat or strong cheeses.
